Engine Theory & Engineering Class
Engine Theory class is a prerequisite class for Early Engine building,
and is for the basic mechanic and the advanced. This class teaches the
theory of how parts work with one another while applying all work hands
on. Each students is paired up in class, and have your own engine to
work on through class, and as a visual aide. Students each have their
own set of tools for use on the engine. Class is all hands on while the
instructors go through each part of the engine in detail, and how to
properly install and remove different parts. Students will know how to
true crankshaft, remove and ream bushing, how to properly dissemble an
engine, and install all parts on the engine. Students will also know
the theory of how oil goes through the engine, and the four responsibilities
of oil. Also, students will know how to bore out cylinders and measure
them prior to boring, All theory is taught in this class as well as hands
on experience of building your own engine during class. Many more lesions
are taught during class, and bad habits will be broken and new ones taught.
Class is very intense due to all information regarding engines.
